The rewards have now all been sent. As explained in the previous newsletter, there is no tracking for shipments. I know that this bothers some of you. The delivery time is between 3 and 5 weeks, so will only consider requests after this delay. If you have not received your book(s) by December 20th, please contact Anaïs by email at [email protected]. Slow shipping

Some of you are starting to feel impatient about receiving your books, and that's entirely understandable. I'm still in the process of sending out the packages, and about a hundred left should go out by the end of the month. Nevertheless, the wait is long. I'm not Amazon, and everything is done at home. Let me explain.

Special French shipping price for books.

Shipments are made with a "books" rate, which is a special rate available for sending books only. This special rate allows for calculating the price based on the content and not its weight. Shipping the 3 books would cost 65€ for the USA with the "parcel" rate, but only 15€ with the "book" rate. 15€ is approximately what I asked for during the campaign because I believe that 65€ is too high. Would you have supported if the shipping costs were higher than the price of a book?

However, this has several drawbacks: it takes a long time, and there's no tracking.

On my end, shipments have to be done manually, one package at a time, at my local post office.

Here are my days for the past three weeks:

• Preparing shipments in the evening. They are in my garage, and we prepare them as a family while watching a movie. I don't have a large warehouse, so they wait in the living room.

• I load packages into my car,  it is a 10-minute drive to my small local post office.

• Weighing each package one by one (I'm starting to get to know the person who handles this quite well).

• I even place the packages in the vehicle myself as they are too heavy !!

Afterward, the packages take between 3 and 5 weeks to arrive. They go by boat, not by plane.

Supporting a Kickstarter project is supporting a creative person and entrepreneur in their desire to do things right. And for me, doing things right doesn't necessarily mean doing them quickly. Hope you can wait a little more…

Shipping update & new collection launch

Hope you are fine. I am happy to tell you I got the OBI for the 3 books collection at the end of last week and we are now making the full collection packed. The shipping process will be stopped next week as I will be travelling to the USA for 10 days for a talk and market, but my great helpers with still be packing. 

As soon as I am back in early October all the remaining packages will be sent.  Everything should be sent around October 15th. Thanks for your patience and understanding on this slow family shipping process. 

Some photos but not too much to not "spoil" the discovery of the books.

Thanks to your support, I got this high-quality scanner to do the project and with it, I have scanned hundreds of more ephemera documents from my collection. I have been working on 3 new books collection for the past weeks and I just launched it on Kickstarter!

FULL MOON + 4 : The books are here ! Shipping starts soon...

Hope you are fine. The books are finally all here... I first received them in mid-August, but I figured out there was a problem with the first book, the reprint of the Alphabet Cities Collection!!! I updated the design a little to make it work as a collection, and sadly the printer used the first and wrong version of the design. So all the Books 01 have to travel back to the printer, make a new cover print, and rebuild them again... They were sent back to me after a week and last Thursday, on the full moon, it was delivered. 

During that time, Studio Pression gets his copies to finalize the paper OBI. As soon as I get them, I will be able to send the 3 books collection. 

As I said in the previous update, sending all the orders should take 30 to 45 days, so please be patient.

Full Moon Update : while I wait for the books to arrive...

Hey there!  

Just wanted to give you a quick update on the book delivery. I'll have books delivered to me between August 12 and 16, and that's going to mean finding a lot of space to store them all! If you've received a message from Backerkit to update your address for final delivery, please make sure you do so. If your address hasn't changed, you're good to go.  

Please keep in mind that I have 450 orders to fulfill, so this isn't going to happen overnight. It's going to take a while, probably 45 to 60 days. Also, I'm still waiting for the letterpress OBI, before I can start on orders for the 3-book collection. And for some countries, it may take 2 to 3 weeks for delivery, as I'm based in France.  

My estimate is that everything should be delivered by the end of October, but please keep in mind that this is just an estimate. Thanks for your patience and understanding!
